Galería Acuadros. Calle Augusto Figueroa 41. 28004 Madrid, España
April 6th-30th, 2018. Opening: April 6th, 2018.
This exhibition is inspired by the following quote from the book by Albert Camus "Summer".
... In the midst of hate, I found there was, within me, an invincible love. In the midst of tears, I found there was, within me, an invincible smile. In the midst of chaos, I found there was, within me, an invincible calm. I realized, through it all, that… In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer. And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back. - Summer. Albert Camus.
Marina Anaya believes in life. In the most kind and sweet one, but also in the one that, with its pain, reminds us that if we feel, it is because we are alive.
Her paintings are pure enjoyment. An explosion of color and tropical optimism, leafy and effervescent. The vital explosion of a nature that, like us, learns and awakens stronger after the storm. Rain, like our tears, also generates life, and gives us the encouragement to resist and overcome bad times with the firm conviction that better times will come.
In this unbeatable optimism the artist Marina Anaya is settled. Clinging to the instants that make life worthwhile. In a fresh and juicy rematch full of eternal lovers. With the clear vision only conceded by a time without haste and the calm of its paradises.
It is an art committed to life, faithful to the good side of the things that are breathed in invincible summers, aware that happiness is essential to continue. Because nobody said that living was easy, but also that the road could not be so terribly beautiful. - Lidia Martín Araujo.
